Kickdefella readers, Mr ISA and MR MALIK have officially adopted the five families below for the Raya. Bariah has just confirmed receiving the online transfer by both generous reader. Mr. ISA has shared his Raya bonus from his company with the five families.

Dear folks,
When I started Kickdefella, it is not all about kicking Dollah but to kick who deserved to be kicked. Me included.
Yesterday, Bariah received online transfer from Mr. A. Malik Daud for her Ramadan Charity. Let us thank our fellow reader for the remembrance. As time constrain, we decided for Bariah to hand over the goodies herself. Fortunately, we got the information regarding five families in Kg. Demit who are living well below poverty line.
Family 1
90 years old Granny who live on her own. She has no income whatsoever and has no children. She has been living on the sympathy of her neighbours. She is suffering from high blood pressure, diabetic and asthma. She even does not have the strength to cook anymore.
Family 2
Sister of the 90 years old Granny, a sixty plus years old single mother with disable daughter. Her daughter is paralysed since small. She is not working because her daughter needs her full attention.
Family 3
Pak Cik Yusuf, who is in his late sixty. He has one kid schooling in MRSM Perak and he also has a 20 years old daughter who is mentally retarded and bedridden since born. Pak Cik Yusuf has to take care of her daughter including giving her bath as the result it is almost impossible for him to leave the house.
Family 4
46 years old blind man with 38 years old wife. They have an 8 years old daughter. The wife work as a babysitter for two of the neighbour kids. They live on a piece of land own by one of the villagers. Their house is built through the donation from the neighbourhood.
Family 5
Encik Ibrahim and Kak Som. Encik Ibrahim formerly worked as a masseur and since December last year he is bedridden after suffering from stroke. Half of his body is paralysed. Kak Som is now the sole breadwinner of the family with a daughter who is still schooling. Kak Som’s income is RM13.00 per day.
Encik Ibrahim was carried by the neighbours to my house during our last hamper giving session. He caught the eye of YB. Dato’ Husam Musa who instructed me to get a wheelchair for Encik Ibrahim immediately so he can be a bit mobile for the raya.
My question
None of this family ever received any financial support neither from the state welfare department nor from their State Assemblyman. I knew that each constituency are flooded with people holding various political appointee roles that should be going around their neighbourhood and sending back information to their YB.
Kg. Demit is under State Assembly S 19 DEMIT. The Assemblyman is YB. Dato’ Muhammad Daud a.k.a Ustaz Mat Iraq who is also “Ketua Dewan Ulamak PAS Pusat”.
When I brought YB. Salahuddin Ayub, the Member of Parliament for Kubang Kerian, one neighbour who only want to be known as Tok Wan has this to say, “We are very disappointed with our State Assemblyman…” and in his own word he said “Tok Wakil sini, kalau jemput makan kenduri pong tok mari, kalau royat ada ore mati pun dio buat tok tahu. Tok rajin nok cara ke penduduk kapung demit ni”.
Literary, Tok Wan complained that the Assemblyman did not bother to be closed with the people here. On previous occasion, Tok Wan who is a lifetime PAS supporter said he regretted the choice made by Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz for putting such incapable personalities to be the State Assemblyman for Demit.
This reminded me to a senior lecturer in UTAR, an Indian whom upon knowing that I am coming back to Kelantan, said this “Syed, serving people is serving God!”
I knew that the State under the ruling of Tuan Guru is flooded with various schemes to help the poor, the needy, the single parent, the disable, the senior citizen etc, etc.
When I single out this YB, it is without prejudice. This posting is not done in bad faith. This posting is done out of love to Kelantan, Kelantanese and the leadership of Tuan Guru.
While, UMNO’s Dato’ Muhammad Ghani is working hard to unseat PAS in Demit, I know, people like Tok Wan, Kak Som and Encik Ibrahim will continue to vote for PAS till death do them apart. So do many Kelantanese.
I still believe in the relationship between human and other human needs to be perfected before we could build our relationship between human and the Almighty. Is it fair for these YBs to take their salary as YBs when they did not take care of their constituents? While I leave that to the Almighty to decide, it’s time for those in power stop preaching what they believe but to perform what we believe is their duty to us.
We have Twin Towers. We have astronauts. We have many many more to show how rich and successful we are. Now see those photos!! I am very sure hundreds more families are living under poverty. That’s one race. What about the Chinese and Indians and others? Again..that’s one State. What about Trengganu…Perlis….and all coastal lines kampongs? What about the whole country…East and West..OF ALL RACES??
Regardless PAS or UMNO and all BN components….how can all these people live with clear conscious all these years?
It is typical show off to tourists and township voters..how successful they are.
On what Sheih have put out…Pas and UMNO are to be blamed….as the folks have been programmed…’It’s God’s Will” to live happily that way. I am sick to the stomach to learn all these from Sheih. I am ashamed to be a Malaysian. I ate and felt for the hungry of other countries quite often. Now found out…we are not better.
I am more awakened to the naked truths that we have shit and hypocritical governments all these 50 years… and we must all do something!!!
I suggest Husam bring all these matters to Parliament in State and National. I suggest Sheih keep finding out all these sad folks living in poverty with a record of their addresses. I suggest he does that for all races now.
I suggest BLACK compiled and practice his most excellent Human Rights opportunities by ..right here in our own country….with big blow photos up of all our very poor people’s photos and organize a protest …right in front of Pak Lah’s doorsteps..in his house at at the office. If no one join in….I will be there with Amin . Lets see how sleepy PM can be. Let’s see how much PM really loves Allah.. lets see…if he has a compassionate heart. Lets get him to response.

A country is when everyone is together to go one step ahead from before. and i mean EVERYONE. not spending money is certain part of the country building buildings when the money could’ve been used in developing human resources at places that are lagging behind. our leaders are living like kings and queens, princes and princesses. aren’t leaders suppose to share hardship with its citizens? so that we can all work together? sigh…

Gabungan Menuntut Pilihan Raya Bersih dan Adil (BERSIH) akan menganjurkan satu perhimpunan raksasa yang dinamakan perhimpunan rakyat pada Sabtu 10 November ini di Dataran Merdeka.
Dalam satu pengumuman yang dibuat pada sidang media hari ini, BERSIH dijangka akan mengadakan perhimpunan tersebut bermula jam 3 petang.
“Perhimpunan tersebut seterusnya akan berarak ke Istana Negara bagi menyerahkan memorandum tuntutan rakyat kepada Yang di-Pertuan Agong untuk menyuarakan hasrat rakyat untuk menjalani pilihan raya yang bersih dan adil seperti yang terkandung di dalam tuntutan BERSIH sebelum ini,” ujar wakil Jawatankuasa Bersih di Pejabat Agung PAS, Jalan Raja Laut tengahari tadi.
Menurut Jawatankuasa BERSIH, Sivarasa Rasiah, ia juga sebagai satu ketetapan yang telah diambil oleh mereka yang menjangkakan bahawa pilihan raya umum ke-12 akan diadakan seawal November.
“Kami membuat telahan tersebut berdasarkan situasi Umno-BN yang kini berada keadaan terdesak, setelah melalui dua insiden yang menekan mereka iaitu peristiwa berdarah di Batu Buruk serta pendedahan video klip rasuah peguam dan hakim negara,” jelasnya.
Perdana Menteri, Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi ujarnya mungkin akan membuat pengumuman tarikh PRU 12 lebih awal untuk mengeluarkan diri mereka daripada tekanan-tekanan tersebut sepertimana yang dibuat oleh PM sebelumnya pada PRU 1999.
“Ia adalah suatu jangkaan kritikal dibuat BERSIH berbeza dengan beberapa tekaan yang dibuat oleh beberapa parti politik sebelum ini,” ujar AJK PAS Pusat, Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad pula,
Tindakan mengadakan perhimpunan tersebut adalah rentetan daripada resolusi Konvensyen Rakyat beberapa bulan yang lalu.
Koordinator Badan Penggerak Demokrasi Rakyat, Anuar Tahir berkata tarikh pilihan raya bukan suatu fokus yang utama bagi BERSIH sebaliknya tuntutan reformasi rakyat terhadap perjalanan pilihan raya perlu terus dihidupkan.
“Kerana ia mungkin akan mengundang kecurangan dalam PRU 12 sebagaimana yang berlaku dalam PRU 2004 yang lalu,” jelasnya.
Penganjur juga ujarnya sedang berusaha menyelesaikan urusan mendapatkan permit untuk mengadakan perhimpunan tersebut, serta telah menggerakkan ahli-ahli parti atau pertubuhan yang bergabung dalam gabungan tersebut bagi menjayakannya.
“Kami juga telah bersiap sedia dengan sebarang kemungkinan dan risiko yang bakal berlaku nanti,” tambah Sivarasa.
Sementara itu, dalam sidang media yang sama BERSIH turut memaklumkan bahawa mereka akan menghantar surat kepada Suruhanjaya Hak Asasi Manusia (Suhakam) berhubung isu tragedi berdarah di Batu Buruk pada 8 September lalu.
“Setelah mengadakan mesyuarat hari ini, kami membuat keputusan untuk menghantar surat kepada Suhakam mengenai permintaan kami agar diadakan satu siasatan menyeluruh terhadap tragedi tersebut memandangkan Pesuruhjaya Suhakam, Dato’ Siva Subramaniam telah membawanya ke mesyuarat mereka semalam,” ujarnya.
Bersih berharap akan mendapat keputusan yang positif daripada hasil mesyuarat tersebut, seterusnya membawa kepada tindakan bersepadu supaya perkara tersebut tidak akan berulang.
“Malangnya, media arus perdana sengaja memainkan taktik ‘kewartawanan jahat’ yang sentiasa diulang tayangan menyebabkan persepsi buruk rakyat kepada Bersih dan parti pembangkang,” tambah Dr Dzulkefly.
Bersih menyatakan kekesalan dan menyelar tindakan parti pemerintah yang menggunakan media arus perdana sebagai jentera menyebarkan propaganda jahat serta kempen untuk merosakkan imej parti-parti pembangkang.

This year, I am not paying my zakat to pusat zakat anymore. Never mind the tax deduction. I’ll just find somebody who needs it most. Seeing these pictures convinced me that I am doing the right thing.
Does the present condition of the poor families highlighted by Bro Sheih JUSTIFIED the achievement of our country’s 50 th Anniversary?
I think the gomen had failed in their part to eradicate poverty . But what is wanting are the neglect of the compulsory duties accorded to elected gomen representatives.
I had discussed this issue of neglected poor folks with my malay neighbour few days ago.

To make a change in Malaysia, if you want, it will never from the Election. History has stated that all the changes happens in the Streets.
Election in Malaysia is designed for UMNO, MCA and MIC to ruled forever while PAS, DAP and PKR will forever be an Opposition.
If the General Election can make a change, the government will banned it long time ago like what happened to our Local Council Election that been banned during 1960′s for the Anti Communist reason.
If the Opposition win the General Election, they will use the same reason.

Allow me to offer my half cent worth of opinion. Going to space has got nothing to do with the number of unfortunate ones in Terengganu or Kelantan. We should deal with that separately. Having to deal with the poor and the have nots, does not mean we stop progressing. What is needed is better community care and for the rich to help the poor. We have enough well to do Malaysians to take care of the needy. The government should go ahead with the agenda of nation development. Surely, we do not want to stay backward forever.

You have said you listen and work for the people of Malaysia. Now I wish to hold you accountable to that promise …which I put my vote to support you. You do owe me and millions of voters…to keep your promises.
So far…we are not too happy with your non commitable and unproductive work…just talk no actions…but never mind…that’s dirty politics.
But you have the power to do one great thing before you retire or die off like me….that is to get rid of poverties once and for all.
What is so hard? Get all your ministers…clerks and go for a whole country survey. Get all the photos and full addresses.
How many? Get the facts.
Look at those photos put out by Sheih. Are they not poor? Why no monthly welfare from government? Who cares PAS or UMNO rules…you are the PM!! Don’t play politics with the poor. Don’t these people deserve the monthly RM200 social welfare? Don’t that poor child need free medical attention?
What so hard to help the helpless and totally no way to earn a living at all..especially those that are so old?

How can you sleep..eat and spent billions to sent ONE PERSON to space…when those money can be put in a bank…earn interest and feed the thousands of poor of all racers…..without even touching the money….just the interest may do.? Why are you not doing it? And even if you feed everyone…we go bankcrupt…voters will never blame you…for such noble work and surely God will never let that happen. You and we know it…so why no actions for the poor?
Mahathir did not do it….so are you. The only person I can think of doing it in his way …was Tun Razak….but that he was helping one race and may be right at that time. Now you need to help all races…no more race and religion…or selective poor.

You are very unfair to publish this article without asking the approprite person (?Ust Mat Iraq) what has he done to help the poor. I’m quite sure that he is not as ugly as published here. At least he help the other poor people and you didn’t the one that he help.
You are unfair in bleming him 100%. He may be overlook in these case but he is not unresponsible person. There is a system here as in other place. May be the penghulu or the neighbour is not fuctioning to inform the YB. How many time you have meet him to tell about these case? He may be not the candidate anymore after this term not because he is bad but because there is better person. No need for you to to give bad image of him.
Thank you for every effort you did to help the poor here. May Allah bless you. Some of the PAS member actually very wara’ and they don’t want the others know what the did. And it does’t mean that they are less work because no publicity. May Allah judge them in appropriate way.

Don’t judge the other based on sentiment or what been published in the media. What so special about PAS member or YB is that they help the others or give donation by their own money. If they give, they will give duit halal. If they do not have money, then they won’t try to take the goverment money illegally to give satisfaction to the voters. Everything is in line. I don’t know, may be the one who support the surau come from the YB himself but they afraid to declare as it might reduce the pahala.
Poverty is terribly relative…..
and God has alot in store for us.

Not that I want to make this year …an unhappy one for muslims to celebrate their Hari Raya…..but imagine you have a very sick mom in hospital….can you be totally happy?
Simulataneously…after seeing all those photos…they will be the test for your heart and soul. If you feel nothing….then you are selfish and useless Malaysian. But if you eat enjoy..yet can still think of these people….and plenty more…then there are hopes for true great Malaysia.
I used to meet a gentleman, a very kind and rich gentleman, he gave everything in his pocket and forgot about himself and those close to him. at one occasion, when they turned up seeking his assistance, he said “I am sorry, I have nothing left in my pocket. Please come back and I would find the solution”. But they answered: “You should have the money, because you are rich”. He kept calm and never answered but wished they will know the truth sooner or later that he was really out of money, not even a penny.
This gentleman turned to me and said, I hope one day, people will recognise – the true rich people who we called the millionaire are those who spend or donate their money for the poors and needy, the more they spend the more people will get benefit, not those who save thousands, or ‘juta-juta’ for their properties or bank accounts.
I feel really sorry for the YB but what if he is trully out of his pocket money?

Keep up the good work, you and Bariah. There is a definite need for us citizens to wake up the politicians from their slumber, not only the ones in Putrajaya but also the others is places such as Demit.
Can I suggest that you and Bariah set up a fund in the name of the Late Lt Col. (Rtd) Syed Abdul Aziz Al Bukhary? We can then start contributing on a regular basis (maybe monthly) however small an amount will be welcomed so that the relieve efforts can be sustained not only during Ramadhan.
There are so many people that need our help more so in areas like Kelantan, Kedah and Trengganu where the so-called “defenders of the Malay race” have failed the Malays big time.
Lets do something.

I regret I do not agree totally with your thoughts.
Firstly…to build up the Nation’s youth is not by inspiring ….or by encouraging or by showing off heroes…..always ‘Malaysia Boleh” slogan…like what UMNO is dong now.
It is pure leadership by examples and good sincere honest ones. Do we have those to show to our youths?
Look at that Mansion in Klang built illegally by Zakaria. Even the Sultan Of Selangor’s harsh advises went to deaf ears …to UMNO politicians..especially from Pak Lah. This is but one example of perhaps hundreds more.
Children will always remember how to copy their heroes….the politicians.
Our astronauts is much to be admired for his contributions and he is very very lucky….but I see no advantages…as alot of countries have excel in science and technology without sending anyone to space. To me…this is purely an election ploy.
And for God’s sake…what is the use to be so advanced in science and technology..when the truth of the matter is …so many helplessly poor are not PERMANENTLY taken cared of by our so call rich country?? Why leave it to the rich people? Why can’t the government take this opportunity to do the best…as promised to be “People’s ” politicians…by all..when they start their lives as politicians? It is pure hypocracies and full of shit politics right now in Malaysia.
I repeat…children will not become so clever…honest and hard working by the astronaut performances….but by waching and observing how these politicians can live in big mansions..own Merz cars…so filthy rich….they will observe how policemen earning small salaries can live like millionaires…they will observe all traffic rules broken by vehicle drivers..why no harm done…so they will copy.
Why should the youths be the fore-runner to show how Malaysia should be now and for the future? What is out corruptions reputations to the world ranking? How can all these sick and dirty poliotics make one astronaut change the whole country? Even if we can build our own rockets…we will be the laughing stock to the whole developed world for keeping such blinds eyes to our country real sick situations managed by such hypocrites.. This must change first. I like what Lee Kuan yew said about Burma…and that it is managed by dumbells. Does that not sound true also to Malaysia?

Finding permanent solutions should be what the government should do…but they will not do that…for if done…it is so easy to manage the country..so anyone can manage it.
Making it a rojak is the name of the game…and passing the buck…never admit their mistakes are also the attitudes they mastered.

Calling for donations should stop. Why should rich can afford citizens carry the responsibilities? How long can they do it…one month…one year? It also give con men chances to collect all sorts of donations.
It’s a permanent solution..that is needed…and I bet the government knows how…but will not do it.
Finally dear Taufan, as long as there are 14 parties in the Barisan National ….all kowtow to UMNO…and not group into one…there will never be true Malaysian youths….united and love each other as Malaysians.
